Prayer: Funds

Again, tonight please pray that as this year comes to an end, alumni, companies, professors, and families will continue in their financial support. The end of a year is opportune time for giving, so we pray that Africa will remain on the hearts of those who have received our support letters. Praise God we currently have about $15,000.00 raised through support letters, but in reality that is about 1/5 of what we need.

We trust and praise God, remembering: "Don't put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there...but happy are those who have God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in the Lord their God...He is the one who keeps every promise forever, who gives justice to the oppressed and food to the hungry." (Psalm 146:3-7)

Prayer: Safety

So sorry this is late. I lose all track of time while being home on break and did not even realize it was Wednesday until now. Please, tonight and this week, be praying for safety. For the situation in Uganda, traveling plans to/from/and while we are in Uganda.

Wednesday Night Prayer

Join us tonight (9pm) to specifically pray for our (Westmont Women's Soccer) hearts.

1. That we will deeply seek the Lord in these next 5 months leading up to the trip.

2. We will study the Word, becoming knowledgeable and confident women of God.

3. We will use this time to seek growth.

4. We will put total faith and trust in the Lord.

5. We will be willing and open as God works in our hearts and lives.

The Ugandan people:

-Those we will be in contact with in the slums, schools, prisons, on the field, etc.

-The Lord will begin softening hearts.

-Sickness & health

-Poverty traps of: government and civil war

Support Letters Sent!

Last week a support letter composed of three letters from Dan Ribbens (Assistant Coach), Dave Wolf (Director of Soccer), and myself was successfully sent out! The letters were sent to Westmont Women's Soccer supporters, alumni, and members of the Westmont family. Along with the letters, a donation sheet and return envelope was included. A huge thank you to Ann Cavalli, Westmont Repro, and girls on the team for helping these letters get sent out.
