OH MY GOSH...
I FINALLY just now figured out how to do this thing.

K. Anyway, I'm flying into Santa Barbara on Tuesday, August 4th. Is anyone going to be around to go to businesses on Wednesday? I'm thinking we can get in a few hours of hitting up local places.

Muskegon fundraising= disappointing...unfortunately Michigan is in a bit of a crisis. Muskegon has been hit hard with the economy (mmm.. 30% unemployment) and the typical reply from businesses is something like: "business hasn't been good lately, we'll have to get back to you" or "we're trying to cut costs".

I'm hopeful for Santa Barbara though! So anyone interested for Wednesday, August 5th???

And I totally want to buy some sunglasses- probably 4 pairs to be exact- do you still have some?

We recently had these awesome RayBan-esque sunglasses made (thank you Roxanne Love) in neon orange and green with "Westmont Warriors" printed on the side. We sold them at Westmont baseball and archery summer camps for $5.

We also had a mid-summer check-in last week where we did some oh so fun fitness, had lunch, played soccer, and were given our first opportunity to fundraise as a TEAM. We went to Von's grocery store in downtown Montecito where we split up and stood outside both entrances selling sunglasses, singing, juggling the soccer ball, and gratefully accepting donations. In just the one hour we were there we made roughly $200! So, THANK YOU to all the girls who were able to come up, down, or out to Santa Barbara and help jumpstart fundraising for our Africa 2010 trip!
